Funerals

A funeral marks the close of a human life on earth. It is the opportunity for friends and family to express their grief, to give thanks for the life which has now completed its journey in this world.

Services may be conducted by a minister in the church or in a cemetery or crematorium and will speak of a loving God who knows every individual human being, a God who knows what it is to suffer as we do and a God who understands our pain and grief. In his love he saw his Son, Jesus, die a real and painful death through which we are able to live for ever with him.

The minister will discuss the service with you beforehand and talk to you about the deceased so that the service will reflect the personality of the person who has died.

If you would like to speak to the Vicar please get in touch.

Our beautiful Memorial Garden in Pentrich churchyard was dedicated on the 19th August 2012 by The Rt Revd Jack Nicholls.

This is a place of tranquility where people are able to come to remember their loved ones, whether or not they are buried in Pentrich Churchyard.
